NIUM Ghaziabad Library was developed with the mission to support academic learning and advanced research in the Unani System of Medicine and its allied disciplines. Since the commencement of library services in March 2023, the library has been continuously strengthening its resources and services to meet the growing academic needs of students, faculty members, and researchers.
At present, Library has about 8443 books, including Books on Unani Medicine, Modern Medicine, Research and Reference etc., and has also rare collection of books in Arabic/Persian and Urdu Languages. It provides adequate physical facilities and various services to their users. The entire collection is systematically organised according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) Scheme for easy access and efficient retrieval.
The library infrastructure is designed to provide a productive academic environment with separate and well-defined sections for Textbook, References, Circulation Desk, Reading Hall, Computer and Internet Facility, and Data Entry.
Library is an active member of DELNET (Developing Library Network), through which users can avail national and international journal access, Inter-Library Loan (ILL) services, and Document Delivery Services (DDS). These facilities enable users to access scholarly resources beyond the physical collection of the library.
