 LIBRARY:
The institute has a well furnished Library
which remains open for 12 hours on all working
days. It has more than 3500 books that include
classical books, rare Manuscripts as well as
recent publications on Unani Medicine and allied
sciences. A number of Journals have been
subscribed for the benefit of Students, Research
Scholars and Teachers.
INTERNET FACILITY:
Computers with Internet facility have been
provided to the teachers and students. The
institute has also been provided access to
HELINET Consortium of RGUHS for e-resources
 PHARMACY:
The Institute has a well-equipped pharmacy with
modern machines and equipment. The scholars are
engaged in preparing the medicines for research
purpose as well as to get practical training.
Medicines manufactured by the pharmacy are used
for free distribution to patients.
HERBAL GARDEN:
In the premises of NIUM, a rich herbal garden
has been established in an area of three acres.
There are over 500 medicinal plants in the
garden which are used for training of students
and as well as for preparing some of Unani
Formulations. Besides it one more herbal garden
‘Ibn Baitar Garden’ has been established where
small medicinal plants have been cultivated for
demonstration of the students.
 HOSPITAL:
The hospital has Out door and In door facilities
for Unani treatment for patients. All medicines
are provided to the patients free of cost in the
Hospital. Facilities for various pathological
and Bio-chemical investigations and other
investigations are also available in the
hospital. Presently 100 beds are available in
the IPD. Out of which 10 beds are reserved for
the patients of nearby Destitute Centre. It is
hoped that the bed strength will be increased in
near future.

PATHOLOGY LAB:
Almost all routine pathological tests and
certain bio-chemical test are performed in
Pathology Lab on nominal charges for out door
patients. However, all the investigations,
available in our hospital, are free for in door
patients.
ECG:
ECG facility is available in the hospital.
 HOSTEL:
At present the Institute is providing hostel
facility to the students. The Institute has a
separate Hostel wing for Men and Women inside
the campus. Mess facility is also provided.
